The Impacts of Physical Appearance Through Dressing Standard.Dressing standards and its attendant codes as prescribed by some societies and institutions has become a very thorny issue. Opponents and proponents of a what is said to be the so-called acceptable dressing style are divided on whether or not an individual’s physical appearance expressed through his dressing style provides any reasonable basis upon which to make any conclusive judgment about the person in question.
In my humble opinion, I am convinced that clothing and for that matter dresses serve a primary function of concealing the private parts of the human body from firstly needless public exposure and secondly to provide some level of protection against extremes in climatic and weather conditions. Though somewhat built on a long standing ethical foundation, the former purpose has become the most considerate subject of controversy.
Modesty should be the primary factor in choosing a dressing style for whatever purpose. To be taking seriously, irrespective of the occasion it is simply prudent to dress along decent standards, without however, compromising on worth and fashion. It can tell if one is in touch with contemporary realities or not. Similarly, smartness in dressing reflects a high level of consciousness and psychological balance. Chances are that a smartly dressed fellow will be hired instead of a shabbily dressed fellow. The reasons obviously are that the smartly dressed fellow is more inclined to higher productivity than the other folk, who does not portray any sense of responsibility.
The extent to which an individual’s dressing has significant bearing on his or her own mentality and by extension the communication it presents to others is conclusive and unchallengeable. Therefore, my conclusion is hinged on the need to give prime attention to dressing in view of what it says about you to others.
