The seven Harry Potter novels will be available in e-book form in October
Author J.K. Rowling (right) said yesterday
At the launch of a new interactive online website Pottermore.
The website, www.Pottermore .com,will allow readers to navigate through the Boy wizard stories. Ms Rowling said Pottermore was about giving something back to her fans, who
were among the first to create a large and Influential online community.
It was also about encouraging people to read more, she added .’’We knew there was a big demand for e-books, but I wanted it to be something more than that ,’’
She explained. ‘’I wanted to pull it back to the reading , to the literary and story
Experience.’’
The e-books will be available exclusively on the Pottermore site from October in
several languages, in partnership with Sony, They will be compatible with all major
Electronic reading, devices. However , the site goes live on July 31, when one million
Registered users will be chosen to help flesh out the Online world. Other merchandise
including digital audio books in a range of Languages will also be on sale.
‘’it is my view that you can’t hold back progress,’’ Ms Rowling said of the electronic
Launch.’’ E-books are here to stay later than a lot of people, I, for the first time, downloaded

Ms Rowling also gave the clearest indication yet that she will not write an eighth Harry Potter story to follow the final instalment published in 2007, ‘’I do have closure with Harry.
She told reporters in LONDON at the launch of the website .’’ I’m Done on the novel front .But it was fun while it lasted,’’
