When you try to understand telepathy it all starts when one person transfers their thoughts and emotions to another person. The definition commonly known is that telepathy is a term for the feelings over a distance.
Communication through telepathy is not done in the normal way we communicate.
Many animals use telepathy to transmit danger or food sources. Scientists have discovered this fact after years of research. Some animals can even communicate over large expanses of areas. It is not necessary for them to be close to each other in other words.
Many years ago it was believed that primitive tribes possessed the power of telepathy, and anthropologists still believe it today.
Esoteric is often a word used to describe telepathy, but it should not be. It should be viewed in a like manner of any learned ability. If you have difficulties learning a language or reading, why can you not have trouble perfecting your ability to be telepathic? It is very possible that if you have some type of learning disorder, it will affect your ability to train this form of communication. It is not something that is readily considered but it should be.
Instead, our society has alienated this skill and has failed to hone it to perfection over the years. It should be groomed as we would speech, music and our natural senses but it is not.
What it comes down to is that telepathy and that "sixth sense" is connected. You may know the term "third eye" to be a more descriptive answer in your area.
Many experience telepathy with out even knowing what it is. Do you ever get the heebie jeebies and do not know why? That can be a form of telepathy know as intuition. Have you ever changed a constant routine just because you have a weird feeling about taking your normal route just to find out an accident had happened where you were supposed to be traveling and at the same time as well. This may leave you to wonder if you may have been involved had you kept to your regular route. This is your intuition speaking to your, or your telepathy that there was potential danger.
Why and when did humanity stop using and believing in telepathy?
Because of the elusive nature of telepathy in more modern societies, many may not feel that telepathy even exists, but that is their chosen god who is sending signals of warning or messages for them personally. This can benefit churches and organized religions who use this as an aid in spreading the word of their god.
These religions among us have come to have such power over society that a great many people have been taught to put no faith in telepathy, but only in 'the Messiah' or 'the Savior' or 'the Prophet' rather than in their own natural abilities.
While we aren't trying to offend anyone, you have to ask why religions would be so distrustful of telepathy.
The answer is likely to lie in the power hunger of so many religious 'leaders' and authorities who don't want their own alleged divine powers challenged by telepaths. Of course, not every religious leader is like this, but too many are and have been throughout history.
Most modern day science does not put any stock into telepathy.
The doubting Thomas' of today need to see proof and where there is none, they believe that it does not actually exist. It cannot me measured, touched or tasted so how can it possibly be? Without that, most people will not take it serious. The contradiction of course is that they have "faith" in their religion yet because their religion tells them that this is only a thing of evil, they now believe that it doesn't exist. It just doesn't make any sense.
Yet, emotions and instincts are known and accepted to exist by scientists. So it would seem that what we have here is simple prejudice: scientists can feel emotions themselves so they have to accept them. Instincts can also be felt by humans, and instincts are needed to explain much animal behavior, so they feel compelled to accept them, too. Yet these things are as elusive as telepathy.
There may be envy involved as well. Even those with high IQ's and degrees can feel envious of something they do not have themselves, or choose not to acknowledge. By calling it instinct, they leave themselves room to have a certain belief that undermines the envy.
Why we as a people have become out of touch with our ability of telepathy is an unknown mystery but perhaps it can be traced back the biblical story of the Tower of Babylon. Perhaps the reason that there was so much confusion in language was because some of those languages were actually telepathy and it created chaos. One will never know but the lesson learned is that just because you cannot do it, does not mean that it doesn't exist.
