Now all concerns and fears can be put aside to rest. Lets take a look at seven of the techniques of astral projection that are pretty easy. These techniques have been successful for quite a few people, many in fact. One popular method consists of seven steps of astral projection or the seven techniques of astral projections:-
* Initially just relax. It is most important for you to relax your mind and body. Many techniques are available to be used for relaxation. Breathing exercises are just one way. Deep breathing, a simple one, just deep breathing, slow and calmly. Inhale deeply and exhale deeply, relaxing all your muscles, one at a time. Tensing them and relaxing them, start with the toes and work your way up your whole body. Slowly and steadily.
* Reaching a hypnotic state. Essentially you need to reach a point where your mind and body is just on the verge of going to sleep, although of course you don't want to actually fall asleep. This can be achieved by using the gazing method. Simply lie on your bed and begin staring at something until such time that your eyes close and yet you're still able to see the object.
* You will then need to deepen the state of mind you're in once you reach the point where you can see the object even when your eyes are closed. At this point it may be possible to see different light patterns and you may even notice that the room appears to be immersed in a purplish light. There is no need for you to pay any attention to the purplish light or the light patterns, but instead, you'll know you've entered a deeper state once you stop seeing the lights. Furthermore, once you reach this point you'll be so relaxed, you won't even be aware of your physical body anymore.
* Next, you will need to enter the state of Vibration. Many people that have been practicing astral projection techniques for awhile note that they feel these vibrations early on in the projection. It is believed by them that this is the feeling you experience when the astral body begins to leave the physical body. Do not be alarmed, just feel the vibrations.
* Next you will start to control the vibrations that you feel. Focus on them and see how they feel as they travel through your body, Visualize them as waves that wash through you, and concentrate on how they feel. Practice this until you can always feel the vibrations and so that you can create them when you want to. These waves are what you will use to travel.
* The component most keyed to astral projection and astral travel, is control of the vibrations using your mind. To strengthen control keep your mind focused on the action of leaving the physical body. First start with a hand or maybe a foot and go from the astral body. Stretching them to an object near you like a wall, floor or another familiar object. Now push your hand or foot through that object. When you have succeeded you can return your foot or hand back to your physical body. Slow the vibrations down ending the session. Stay in the position of laying down till your body returns to a fully awakened state..
* The final step is where you will leave your body. Repeat the first six steps until you feel comfortable with them, but this time, instead of returning yourself to an awake stage, continue to disengage your astral self from your body. When you have mastered disengaging a hand or a foot, try doing it with your whole body now. Focus on releasing your body through thinking about how light it feels and how weightless it really is. You are light, like feathers blowing in the wind and you will soon get a feeling as though you are floating or flying!
Other popular methods include techniques such as the gazing method, the anchor method, and the rope technique. Ideally, one should spend some time experimenting with the different techniques in order to establish which technique suits you the most.
One should bear in mind that it may not be possible to astral project instantly, irrespective of which technique you use.
