Number embossing as is done on credit or debit cards cannot be done with these card printers because embossing is done on plastic cards and not on paper board cards.
The more important issues that one must not forget when buying card printers are those of security, especially where these printers are used in high security areas. Beginning with access to the card printer every aspect of card printing has to be securely guarded usually by means of a password and other means. It is also necessary to get good after-sales service once you buy a card printer. It is important to get guarantee of good after sales service as well as on-site warranty when you decide to buy a card printer for your organization. Another important point to note is that the size of the ID cards should be standard as it is difficult to get non standard consumables.
