To help clients arrive at decisions that will provide security in their personal lives, businesses and assets, Naveen Jain started Intelius in 2003. The company utilizes the Internet as a channel to give important and accurate data to businesses and consumers. This data is collected from publicly available records.

Being an innovator, Naveen Jain has steered the company to come up with services for consumers such as background, criminal, and people searches. The firm also unleashed a comprehensive identity theft detection and prevention product, IDWatch, to protect clients from identity theft - the fastest growing crime in America. IDWatch is also an efficient and quick response for organizations dealing with data breach.

Aside from giving innovative products and services, clients are offered a customer service support where they can contact Intelius’ specialists to help in translating and searching for information.

Prior to Intellius, Jain co-founded InfoSpace in 1996. InfoSpace sold horoscopes, stock quotes, weather forecasts, and other website content to other Internet sites. He also worked for Microsoft Corporation as a senior executive from 1989 to 1996.

Aside from being an innovator and entrepreneur, Naveen Jain is a philanthropist who has assisted charities that benefit the youth, education, families and healthcare. He has been known to generously donate to institutions such as Seattle Children’s Hospital, Bellevue Boys and Girls Club, Youthcare, University Preparatory Academy, Olive Crest, Kindering Center, and Child Rights and You (CRY). Since education is vital for him, he has made high-profile endowments to academic institutions, especially the University of Washington. Owing to his donations, the university was able to produce an undergraduate scholarship program for degrees in business, engineering, and computer science.

Jain continuously supports his native land, India, by aggressively supporting   nonprofit organizations benefiting his country, like the Indian American Education Foundation, CRY India, and the Vedic Cultural Center.
