Our attitude towards money was recently discussed in a forum of which I am a member. In this forum, a person stated that he is quite rich at the moment, but he continues to earn since doing so makes him feel powerful. I wish I could say the same thing! Of course, I am happily married, I have a family that is fully supportive of me, and I have some great friends in my life. Above all of these, I have God on my side. The money we earn is worked for, and we have all our needs. Therefore, we can say that we are rich in all other aspects of life.

However, we can’t exactly say that we are monetarily wealthy – I cannot say that, when it comes to money, I am a millionaire, since we don’t have so much of money. Nevertheless, while we don’t have money to live in luxury, we do have sufficient for our daily needs.  This is quite okay since we presently have much that is nothing but God’s blessings. But there are times I dream of being rich.

My aim is not exactly to be rich in order to live in luxury or have a whole lot of things around me. I am a simple person who knows how to live my life in style. My reasons for wanting to have more money are in order to help the needy and also to help missionaries. My husband and I live economically, since we are soon going to be blessed with a child (and we are looking forward to it).

Of course, although this does not matter in the course of eternity, the thought of having a lot of money is good at times. Oh well! No harm in getting this wish granted!
