<h1>Recruiting and interviewing</h1> <p><strong>Recruiting</strong> is a series of activities to obtain human resources from the labor market or recruiting market by the organization. It is the first step for most organizations to get human resources and the base of personnel selection. When job opening happens in the company, there are two options for them in most times. Candidates can from either internal recruitment or from the external recruitment.</p> <p><br /> So how to deal with the internal recruitment? The major methods including the job posting and bidding, selection by recommendation, testing, transfers, database of internal recruitment and so on.</p> <p><br /> <strong>Advantages of internal recruitment:</strong> the senior management team has a period of time to observe the candidates who are to be promoted or transferred thus the seniors can evaluate the candidates’ potential ability and special working performance efficiently. At the same time, promoting from the internal will encourage employees better. That is to say, employees have opportunities to their career growth.</p> <p><br /> When it is concerned to the external recruitment, there are also various modes to do with it. Such as advertising recruitment, agents, employee referrals, campus recruitment, Internet recruiting, headhunters, ECT. And during this process, the companies can also use the detailed methods, for instance, paper and pencil test, interview and mental ability test.</p> <p><br /> <strong>Now referring to the interview</strong>, it is formal process of face to face communication between candidates and employers. It can be highly structured, serious and extremely formal. Otherwise, in a definitely unlimited free talking way. It focuses on the communication between employer and employee, namely, it is a kind of interpersonal or private relation between them.</p> <p><br /> <strong>Interviewing may be divided into three parts.</strong> They are structural interview, behavioral description interview and behavior description interview. So what is structural interview? During the structural interview, a set of standardized questions are waiting for all the candidates’ answers. The candidates are required to list the specific evidence to show how they execute a process or deal with some problems. Then about the panel interview, in this process, there are several interviewers gathering together to rate the performance of candidates. They will discuss with each other and then make an agreement. At last the demanded candidates are employed.</p> <p><br /> There are also some details that the interviewees need to pay attention to. In order to have a successful interview; interviewee should make full preparation for it. An interviewee who is prepared well will be more natural in emotion and body languages and has better ability of response. Preparation work includes imaging the possible problems the examiner would offer and then preparing how to answer them in order, understanding background of the company, paying attention to appearance and so on. Etiquette during this process plays an important role in the success of interview for the interviewers. Interviewers should keep in mind to attend interview in time and be polite with others, do cut off phones before the interview. Cutting off phones in front of the examiner can show their sincerity. Other details are of importance, such as the sitting postures and the proper eye contact with the exmamers. Interviwees should also listen to questions carefully and answer prudently, neither too simple nor too tedious. Remember to response flexible. Interviewers’ attitudes of answering are also critical. Neither being too polite nor too humble. In the end of the interview, interviewers should be confident and determined whatever they have said. It will give examiner impressive behaviors. Don’t forget to thank interviewers to give you the good opportunity of interviewing.
